How to Throw an Epic Scottsdale Bachelorette Party

Welcome to Scottsdale, Arizona: a rustic, western city with landscapes for days and numerous surroundings to explore. A place to relax and a place that makes you feel like you’ve been transported to another time. Scottsdale offers something for everyone and with it being a stop on the way to the Grand Canyon it would be a shame to miss out on it all!

In the summer, temperatures can reach as high as 95°F, but in the winter be sure to pack your layers as it gets as cold as 40°F.

A weekend of partying, soaking up the treatments at a spa, or delving into the history of this impressive city is well worth it! Whatever your plans, below are the best things to do for your Scottsdale bachelorette party, and why the city is a fantastic choice for your getaway.

How to Get to Scottsdale

By air: To get to Scottsdale, you’ll likely fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). It’s 10 miles west of downtown Scottsdale, and you can easily get there via rental car or with rideshare services like Uber and Lyft.

Fun fact: PHX is known as “America’s Friendliest Airport!” Certainly, a great way to start your bachelorette celebration!

By car: Scottsdale is an easy drive from cities like Tucson (under 2 hours), Las Vegas (5 hours), Albuquerque (6 hours), and San Diego (6 hours).

Somewhere to unwind & recharge:

A day of relaxation, absolutely! And with all the planning that goes into a wedding, how can you say no? No matter what the budget is there are plenty of options to suit everyone.

Budget:

Serene Society, just a short distance away from Old Town Scottsdale, provides essential spa services including massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and more. They also serve complimentary drinks at their bar, which is perfect for a bachelorette party. Prices start at $55 and you can also purchase packages starting at $99.

$: CLOVR Life Spa is the luxury experience every spa needs. Gainey Ranch has a discount offer of 30-40% off for first-time guests and allows guests to have spa parties in which they can have the whole place to themselves. Package deals are offered for events such as birthdays and bachelorette parties. Prices range from $60 to $190, making it the perfect mix for a variety of different price points.

$$: Well & Being Spa at the Fairmont Scottsdale is another fantastic spa setting. Think of all the elements; air, water, earth, wood, fire, and having them along with a wet steam room, sauna, whirlpool, fitness center, workout classes, and an adults-only pool.

There’s also a cold plunge pool if you’re a risk-taker! If your bachelorette party has more than five people then I highly suggest allowing the Fairmont to plan for you (there’s a $15 package fee), which means less stress and more energy for enjoying yourself. Including lunch and a gift, how can you say no? Give them notice that you’re coming and they’ll be happy to book everything for you. Prices range from $105 and salon services start at $69.

Hacienda Del Sol is a great place to stay, dine and celebrate in style. Located in what looks like a desert, it’s an escape without feeling too disconnected from the world. With spa treatments, a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a gym, artistry, and gardens, you’ll always have something to do here.
Facials start at $85 and massages from $150. Plus, if you stay three nights, you get the fourth night free!

$$$: Boulder Resort & Spa is a golf club, and spa that offers outdoor activities. Voted Best Spa of the Valley 2021 in North Valley Magazine, this resort has experiences that will make your bachelorette party one to remember. Make a reservation for lunch and then head to try out their whirlpool or book in for a spa treatment, with prices starting at $175. Take a look at their website for seasonal deals which are continuously being updated.

Where to eat:

$: Mission, focusing on Latin cuisine, is cozy and lively all rolled into one. Brunch, lunch, dinner, whatever your party is in the mood for, Mission will be able to provide and it doesn’t break the bank! Starting at $12 for morning pancakes or tacos for $14.

$$: Weft & Warp Bar and Kitchen is a fantastic brunch option. And who doesn’t love brunch? You can all enjoy sleeping in without feeling guilty you’ve missed breakfast. If you ask me, it’s exactly what you need the day after your bachelorette party. From the smoothie bowl for $15 to the pumpkin doughnuts for $12, there’s plenty to satisfy your cravings. For dinner, try their take on a burger for $22, or if you’re looking for something lighter their starters are priced at as little as $11.

FnB restaurant is the place for bite-size dishes, larger plates, sorbet desserts, and a dazzling wine list, all of which will cater to everyone’s dietary requirements. Meals start at $11 and can go up to $38, and if wine isn’t your thing, they serve beer, priced from $6-$10, and spirits such as vodka, gin and rum from $10.

$$$: Sel Restaurant, located in Old Town Scottsdale, gives simplicity and excellence to its guests. Open between Tuesday and Saturday between the hours of 5-9 pm, it’s a small window but well worth it. Serving octopus, steak tartare, duck, and more takes fine dining to a new level. For the bachelorette party and the bride-to-be, it’s obvious that this will be a dinner to remember. Prices start at $45 and for $120 you can try the Chef’s tasting menu which includes 3 courses.

A night out:

A night out:

Zipps Sports Grill is a sports bar with music, fresh food, and nightly specials including, you guessed it, happy hour! Or head to the Fashion Square for options such as beer, lager, pizza, tacos, and I’m sure, a night to remember here at the Yard House. The District, known as Scottsdale’s best nightclub and bar, is everything a bachelorette party needs. A constant supply of food, drinks, a day bar and it turns into a nightclub.

Opening hours are from 4 pm until 2 am. A spa day, brunching, dining, and partying until late. What’s next? Well, if your group also wants to explore Scottsdale differently, there’s hiking, biking, attending auctions, walking tours, visiting vineyards, or try hopping on the Arizona Party Bike, also known as the funniest thing to do in Scottsdale.

With all the party planning, maybe spending the day at one of the day clubs is exactly what you all need. There’s Maya Day Club, with VIP bottle service, non-stop music, and private parties, or Hotel Valley Ho, where you can book a daybed or cabana, soak up the sun and enjoy drinks by the pool.

What else does the ultimate bachelorette party need?

For a slower pace, there are over 100 galleries in Scottsdale Arts District to visit, including the Scottsdale Museum of the West, showcasing the city’s history and exhibitions. You could also spend a day shopping at The Fashion Square and exploring the surrounding vineyards. There’s LDV Winery, situated in a mountain environment that curates unique wines through volcanic soil. Or, book a winery tour with Aridus Scottsdale tasting room. Finally, Salvatore Vineyards stems from 16th-century traditions of creating fruit-inspired wines of the Italian, Spanish and French varieties.

For culture, history, and even a happy hour, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site that is Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West. Built by Wright and known as the “desert utopia,” the landmark has a drafting studio, dining facilities, three theatres, a workshop and so much more. Visit on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month for their “happy hour” specials at $35 per person.

If you’re feeling more adventurous and want to add a hike to the end of the trip, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. When it comes to hiking in Scottsdale, AllTrails recommends Camelback Mountain via Echo Canyon Trail, a 4KM hike classed as the hardest. Or there’s Granite Mountain which is an 8.2KM loop and it’s one of the easiest but also the longest. Another one is Javelina Trail, and at 4.3KM everyone in the bachelorette party can attempt this hike.
